Outdoor Concert Series: Petra van Nuis Quartet (Jazz)

The Library is pleased to present a series of outdoor concerts in our garden on the fourth Thursday evening of June, July, and August. This month, we have a jazz performance by acclaimed vocalist Petra van Nuis and her backing band (composed of keyboard, upright bass, and drums).

Petra is a leading light of the Chicago jazz scene and has performed around the world as well as all over the Chicago area. All About Jazz magazine described her music as “hauntingly atmospheric and filled with creative substance… poetic, moving and subtly provocative.”

Limited chairs will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. In the event of rain, the concert will be held indoors on the second floor of the Library. Brought to you in partnership with the River Forest Township.
