Join library staff and Therapaws and read to a dog! This exercise allows emerging readers to get comfortable practicing with the best listener around, a dog! Four 15 minute time slots are available. Registrants will be assigned a time slot in the order in which they register, beginning at 6PM and ending at 6:45PM. Library staff will email your time slot within 24 hours of registration. This event is for children who are able to read. Please do not register children not yet reading. Caregivers are asked to remain in the library, but not in the room. One on one interaction with the dog is ideal for kids to feel comfortable, and Therapaws staff and library staff will be present. This event is for children who are comfortable with dogs. For readers grades K-4. Registration is required. Please cancel your registration in advance, should you not be able to attend.
