Memorial Day Closures and Summer Hours

The Library will be closed on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. Come see us in the the parade!

Summers hours begin and we will be closed on Sundays until September 7.

Location: River Forest Public Library Room: Barbara Hall Meeting Room Age Group: Kids Program Type: Culture & Entertainment Registration Required Program Description: Enjoy "tea", treats, and games with your special grownup and your favorite American Girl doll, or borrow one of ours for our garden tea party. Party will be held outside on the library garden and will be moved inside in case of inclement weather. Disclaimer(s) Accompanying Adults for Children's Programs Children age 7 and younger must have a caregiver (age 12 or older) with them at all times while at the library, including during programs. Children may not be left unattended at the library unless they are age 8+. Advanced registration is required. For K-4th Grade. Children may not be left unattended at the library unless they are age 8+. Messy Program Alert This program involves getting messy. Please wear appropriate clothing. Location: River Forest Public Library Room: Barbara Hall Meeting Room Age Group: Kids Program Type: Arts & Crafts Registration Required Program Description: Listen to a story and do creative extension activities like crafts, games, and storytelling. Registration required. Grades K-2. Location: River Forest Public Library Room: Community Room Age Group: Kids Program Type: Learn & Connect Registration Required Program Description: Join library staff and PAWSitive and read to a dog! This exercise allows emerging readers to get comfortable practicing with the best listener around, a dog!
