Program Description
Novelist Kathleen Fleming visits the Library to read from, and discuss, her historical fiction. She will also give a talk on working conditions for women in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a subject featured heavily in her books. Her novels include Canary in the Coal Chute, about the Lizzie Borden murders; Murder Most Opulent, a time-traveling mystery set partly in River Forest; and her latest book, A Menacing Luster, about the radium girls of the 1920s.
