Program Description

Please join author Linda Gartz for a discussion of her award-winning book, Redlined. Inspired by a trove of long-hidden family letters, diaries, and photos spanning the 20th Century, Redlined interweaves a riveting family story with the history of redlining. Linda will share this history, read short excerpts from Redlined, and speak about the federal government’s redlining policies that segregated America. She’ll display and talk about digitized versions of original 1940s redlining maps. There will be plenty of time for Q&A.
